Memoir

Hannah is what I call a kindred Internet spirit.
When I first discovered her years ago, I was instantly drawn to the pendant necklace she wore almost daily. I DMed her to ask for details and loved to learn it was designed with Texas-based Diamond Au Pair and inspired by a vintage piece she saw. I instantly began designing my own 'Georgie pendant' (its named after her little boy) to honor our own son.
This small style anecdote is a perfect reflection of McKenna and her approach to sharing: meaningful, a bit whimsical and always genuine.
Georgie's mom is also the marketing director for womenswear designer Damaris Bailey and consults for little tike brand, Lolini. These small, female-founded brands mirrors those she often spotlights on her page. Her family just finished a home renovation in Atlanta, and if the kitchen she just showcased is indicative of what else is in store, all seven thousand and some odd followers of hers are in for a design delight. Scroll on to learn more about Hannah and explore her sweet meets "wonky" style.

I love love love making ordinary things, special, and no one does a table setting better than Blanca (@blancamiro)!
I love how infussy it is…nothing feels stiff or contrived.
Just beautiful pieces and foods, used as they should be. The linens with the wonky letters have already been sent to my sister-in-law. Fingers crossed she gets the hint and these are waiting under the tree for me! She has an embroidery business (@thelittlestich_co) so we’re very spoiled.
Also the figs! Copying immediately.

I can’t handle!! These were Georgie’s (our two year old) first words.
A color combination lighting you up as of late.
Pale blue! Brown! With pops of burgundy or a deep orange!
Share a recent Instagram save and why you were drawn to it.
Love a mini dress & tights situation. Always down to have fun while getting dressed.
I'm so over casual!

How do you remember things?
Write everything down in my notes in lists! I’m currently trying to bully my husband into having a running to-do list. He writes nothing down, and forgets everything.
What's a recipe you have flagged for frequent use or have memorized?
Sourdough bread for beginners by Farmhouse on Boone. Also chocolate chip sourdough cookies (best ever!! — my family agrees!) by Farmhouse on Boone.
Tell me about a memorable gift you have given or received.
Oh gosh…I recently gave a friend a vintage egg cutter with an engraved hen because she nicknamed her home the “The **** Coop”. I was sooo excited about it, but they thought it was a cigar cutter (they don’t smoke cigars), so maybe it was a swing and a miss.
What is one of your most memorable shopping / clothing experiences to date?
My mom and grandmother always joke about this but when I was little, a little over one, they took me shopping and I threw my very first fit when I didn’t get to take the frilly, ruffly, pink dress home. They said it was an ugly dress, but now with how much I love clothing and shopping...
it makes perfect sense this was my first temper tantrum!
Quote from a book/article/some kind of literature you have highlighted / saved.
Two very similar. Basically, life is exactly what you make of it. If you dread your days, your days will be dreadful. But if you look for the magic, or actively create the magic, this world is so so, so fun and amazing!!
This has been especially helpful in motherhood.
Don’t hurry through the bedtime routine, don’t hurry through play, just soak it in. It’s so special and we’ll miss it so desperately when they’re grown.
