Memoir

NAME: Sarah Branch
DATE:
JOB TITLE: Purveyor of @thoughtandbought, Founder of T&B Media & Refreshing Feed on IG

Sarah is a breath of fresh air on your feed. She keeps things candid with serious discussions about mental health balanced beautifully with the likes of a lighthearted hair tutorial and adventures with family and friends.

Sarah is a bright spot on the Internet.

The Dallasite worked in retail and marketing for a decade before starting @thoughtandbought in 2021 which eventually led to the launch of her own digital media company, T&B Media.

Show us one of your latest screenshots. What made it sing for you?

2024 is truly a year of travel for me. Fall is my FAVORITE season and I am headed to Nashville this week - I took a screenshot of the weather lineup and sent it to my friend with SWEATA WEATHA. Nothing better than a crisp fall day in a cozy sweater.

I recently bought my 2025 monthly planner. I absolutely love this brand of journals and planners. I think my count of gallery leather product purchases is easily over 30... the quailty for the price is incredible. I prefer the large monthly planner and the large ruled notebook.

A random iPhone Note you have and its contents.

I once had the privilege of getting to ride in a car with my oldest brother and two of his kids from Dallas to Austin. The questions and comments by the five-year-old at the time were too good not to jot down.

Sarah & I met (and became fast friends!) in Austin at UT via Kappa.

Starting a new business is something I am thrilled and exhausted by at the moment. It's wild to me T&B has been in existence for three years, and because of T&B I was able to launch my next venture. This sign hit me in my feels when I saw it during a daily (let's be honest - sometimes hourly) scroll.

My SHOPBOP order... It was the only one left and back in stock, so I naturally snagged it! I have been thinking about it since this summer when I first saw it in the Staud Soho store.

A color combination lighting you up.

All shades of brown. I didn't lean in fully to brown last year, and this fall I am really enjoying the various shades working together. Otherwise, anything blue and green will always have my heart.

What's a recipe you have flagged for frequent use or have memorized?

Creamy Tortilla-less Soup by The Defined Dish. It is my FAVORITE go-to this time of year. Have been making it now for over six years. Just need one more week of travels and temps to drop, and I will be making it. Add in some cornbread on the side and it's divine.

Quote from a book you have highlighted.

My favorite movie to this day is Pride and Prejudice. I still have my high school copy that I marked all over in 9th grade in my stack of books on my desk. My favorite quote is:

"I was just admiring the general splendour"

-Elizabeth Bennet of Pride & Prejudice

What do you want people to remember about you?

I want people to know that I’m human—real, down-to-earth, usually laughing, and far from perfect. In fact, perfect is boring! My mental health journey has taught me that vulnerability is more powerful than we realize. So, be yourself. Always.
