Memo No.027
Silver bells should not be strictly reserved for December.
Tablescapes are no stranger to my screenshot album. In scouring through the table art scenes I've saved, one through line stands out. A touch (or a ton) of silver grounds any modern table with a taste of tradition everyone craves. Me personally? I'm a gold jewelry girl and didn't really hop on the silver fashion accessory train circa 2023. (Read this Memo for a fresh metallic alternative.)
But in my secondhand shopping experience, I find the silver / stainless steel section is always plentiful but often overwhelming. Scroll through to find inspiration on how silver objects of all kinds can insert that luxe finish to your entertaining set-up. I chose the feature image intentionally to demonstrate the seasonless nature of this metal as I'm sure many associate it with the holiday season.
So, before the Easter bunny comes, scurry over to your local charity shop and snag a silver accessory or two. Your table will thank you!
Should you happen upon something at your local resale shop, these wipes by Weisman are the quickest way to a nice polish. I have this screenshot saved from expert vintage curator (& friend!) Lily.
Always gawking over all things from @gmillet.diary. It's no wonder: she supports the creative direction at La Veste, a longtime favorite of mine.
Click through to her Instagram diary to see more candids from her and little Lolita!
Yet another table art icon, Blanca, the co-founder of aforementioned La Veste. Below I've procured a sweet swan toast rack like hers and an Amazon alternative that I promise will look spiffier than the flatlay shot.
The elegance of a silver tray never tires. The one below is on a site with a slew of options under $30.
These are technically picture holders, but I love the idea of inserting a menu item tag instead -- or describing the bottles of wine being served.
We love a high/low entertaining moment here.
Might we suggest the below bowl overflowing with fast food fries?
